Wednesday Mission Trips

W ednesday Mission Trip Every Wednesday a faculty/resident/nurse team travels to one of our 4 target colonias (rural impoverished communities) to provide free medical care and the good news of Jesus Christ.  We examine, diagnose and treat common and uncommon diseases.  We educate, counsel, encourage and share.  We have witnessed hundreds of our neighbors respond to the Master's calls during nineteen years of this terrific outreach.

Around the Word.   We have sent residents and faculty on mission adventures all over the world: Burma, China, Thailand, Laos, Viet Nam, Honduras, Dominica, Togo, Paraguay, Kenya, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Mexico, South Africa, Haiti, and Nairobi.  Our nonprofit organization, Rio Grande Valley Medical Missions, provides funding for these inspirational international experiences.

 Sports Medicine Outreach

S ports Medicine outreaches include community doctoring and participating in marathons, duathlons, triathlons, coaching soccer and basketball teams and being the team docs for local high school teams.

 Doc Santa

D oc Santa is an annual community outreach that brings thousands of dollars of blessings to our neighbors as well as great music and lots of laughter.

Annual Outreach Project

A nnual Outreach Project puts us right smack in the center of the needs of our patients and families.    This year we shared the Good News of Jesus Christ door-to-door in an unreached colonia, along with a new church plant.  We had teachers from all over the state of Texas join us for a dynamic Vacation Bible School and medical outreach.
