SECOND YEAR RESIDENTS
Mark Riola, MD
Why are you at Valley Baptist? Because of the much needed Christian fellowship and emphasis on prayer, the local mission trips we take around our community, and the most incredible nursing and clinic support staff you will ever meet!
Your favorite Bible verse and why? 2 Samuel 22:33-37. This beautiful portion of scripture reminds me daily that my strength comes only from the Lord Jesus Christ, my solid foundation.
ONE WHOLE PHYSICIAN. ONE TRIUNE GOD.
H. Clay Hodges
1. I am at Valley Baptist so that I can be trained by Godly men and women who can shape my future as a Christian Physician.
2. Ephesians 2:10 – For We are his workmanship, Created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Dr. Austin Alberti
Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”
Valley Baptist Family Medicine residency program is an unique lifetime experience to develop as a physician in an atmosphere of integrity and love. to maximize our God given gifts. Residents have an ample amount of autonomy and guidance while treating patients in clinic, admitting from the ER, helping kids on the pediatrics floor, delivering newborns and much more. I am developing the confidence required to effectively care for all demographics I will encounter. The heart of this program is as big as the great state of Texas. I love being a part of the fabric that is the Valley Baptist FP weave.

Dr. Jordan Dooley
I chose Valley Baptist because I found it to be a community that seeks to glorify God in everything that is undertaken and that thoroughly enjoys His bountiful goodness every day.
One of my favorite verses is Revelation 19:7 — “Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.”
